Chinup is energy and melancholy captured in simple melodies and pulsing rhythms. Willful but catchy pop songs, one foot in the groove and the other firmly set in indie rock. Their eclectic debut album The Horse in Motion was well received by the audience and the critics (“This is a very professional album, made by natural born musicians full of brilliant ideas” – LiveXS and “Brilliant in its simplicity, uplifting melancholy” – OOR). In the meanwhile they performed all over the place in Amsterdam and surroundings, and are well known for their intense live shows.
